Hanseatic Cog 1/72 Scale
(REV05411)

The cog ship with its wide hull and large loading space was first built in Medieval times to cope with the constantly increasing sea-going trade. The building time required for these cogs, built since the 12th century, was notably shorter and costs far below that for freighters at the time, and also the high payload was orientated on the growing trade traffic. This ocean-going merchant ship represented the most significant type of ships of the late Medieval age through the begining of the 15th century.
